Hrm that means the flag is probably going to
touch the ground though when he lands. :(
Nobody cares about the rules of the flag
anymore.

I've always wondered how they handled that
but I've never been close enough to watch the
landing (they do this every day of
AirVenture, every year). While the flag
shouldn't touch the ground, and likely
doesn't get folded 'properly' for deployment,
it does make an impressive image (in my
opinion) that perhaps outweighs the indignant
act of touching down. Personally, I find
this far less offensive than athletes at the
Olympics (or anywhere) using the flag as a
cape or robe.

minimize the contact with the ground. Clearly
they have good intentions and respect for the
flag.
