Matt Stevens  Pro User  says:

Thank you for having the courage to take this photograph during a very difficult moment. It serves an important purpose.

I've read articles recently that say soldiers deployed in Iraq are getting some distorted word regarding Statesiders' gradually declining support for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Please tell everyone you know, if they don't understand already, that these polls deal with political support for the Bush Administration's policies. They do not deal with support for the troops in the field. That remains quite strong. Civilians are not repeating the Vietnam mistake of confusing the troops with their civilian leaders. In fact, a major factor behind the President's loss in popularity is the continuing death toll among the soldiers.

So, at moments like this, you and your friends should understand that everyone is with you, and will be until you come home. Period. God bless you all for what you're doing, and what you're giving.
