Waiting for Summer

Waiting for Summer

Going through some archives from last summer and came across this shot from a blissful summer day wandering around the Sussex Downs.

If like me you're a bit sick of winter already I hope this cheers you up!

Driving along the coast scouting locations for a band shoot today when I ended up in Bexhill at one of my favourite love/hate locations, the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill.

Love, because it's a great building.

Hate, because it's a pig to photograph, not so much because of other people getting in the shot but it's slap bang in the middle of a fairly ugly retirement resort. You really need to pick the angles and time of day for this place. In other words... I'll probably be going back again!

27|365 Old Friends

Meet the two friends who have carried me through this life so far. They're never far (from my behind) and yes I'm attached to them but I doubt I could ever shake them off.

Sometimes I run.

Sometimes I walk.

26|365 Double Yellows

Took a walk at lunchtime today (now I have time for a lunch break!) and spent most of it get soaking wet in the park. Fruitless.

On the way back to work though I noticed how cool all the yellow lines looked, wet and slick with a burst of winter sunshine here or there.

Lots of funny looks and cars slowing down to see if I was ok!

Landscape ProcessingPlay Video

Landscape Processing

Always thought it'd be fun to do a screencap of how I process!

This is fairly typical for me when processing a landscape HDR, using Photomatix, Aperture, CS5 and NikColor Efex. Aperture is great in my opinion, I love the workflow and I'm pretty adept with all the shortcuts although I'm sure Toni could teach me a few more tricks!

It'll be interesting to come back in a years time and see if my processing has changed.
