Green-striped Grasshopper

Morning breakfast visit to Grandmother's farm.

Thanks to Dave JFerguson's input below, I now know that this is a female Chortophaga viridfasciata (Green-striped Grasshopper). Obviously, her green stripe isn't visible in this photo.

Hi, You've got a female of Chortophaga viridifasciata (Green-striped Grasshopper). Sometimes they are green, sometimes purple, often a combination of colors. Adults are most common in the spring (April, May, June).
