Introducing the newest member of my family: Pussy Pusskins

Introducing the newest member of my family: Pussy Pusskins

Introducing Pussy Pusskins, or Pusskins for short, the newest member of my family, adopted around Oct 2011.

I had just bought an Infra Red Shutter Release that I was trying out for the first time - I simply put the camera on the table, got into position and clicked the Remote and voilà.

My other attempt had me in slightly better focus and the cat slightly less in focus - I figured you'd rather see the one of the cat more in focus.

Another slide scan of my Grandmothers Europe and UK trip in 1966 and my honour to bring them back to life and display then here some 45 years later.

Thanks to everyone who helped "locate" this photo for me.

Once again my thanks goes to www.flickr.com/people/fraserpettigrew/ who is the master of locating all things in Scotland (down to the actual lamp post almost!)

North Ridge Track by Canon 5DMKII at ISO 3200

North Ridge Track by Canon 5DMKII at ISO 3200

North Ridge Track, Keith George Memorial Park Jan 2012

That is the track by the way, up through the roots. When people tell me they mountain bike up or down this track I tactfully suggest they may be thinking of a different track as I know mountain bikers are incredibly skilled but I would very very much doubt they could ride up here.

I took a similar photo to this a few days ago at around 11am on a bright sunny day where the sunlight managed to shine through the thick bush but the sunlight washed out and ruined the exposure on the tree roots soI did my walk this morning at 7 30am so I could re take this photo in the morning light/shade but this meant I need to up my ISO way way up to 3200. I have to conclude that I am very happy with the result - would be better still if/when I buy my Gitzo Mountaineer Tripod but at over NZD $1000 that will not be for a little while!
