Less is More. More or less

Less is More. More or less

Let us eat cake, as much as we want!
Clever marketing angle for the have-too-much: eat more without eating too much. Some say, the trick is to just being able to fully enjoy whatever is, without attachment. Not saying I know how to do that. Yet.

Danielle was there at the counter as I passed by and I could not resist her engaging smile and these cute baking confections. She didn't mind posing for some shots, but we didn't have much time to talk. Shot at the "Baked by Melissa" store on West 14 by Union Square.

If More is Better ... can it be too much?

If More is Better ... can it be too much?

If Some is Good More is Better - Even More may, or may not be Better...
She had been sitting close by, with her papers, netbook, coffee etc., then decided to plunk her second dessert on my table, without any acknowledgement or anything, when I took a stroll nearby. I could have engaged in conversation, but after taking a few shots with my bulky DSLR, neither concealed nor obvious, which she did not even notice, I decided to leave it at that. Location pending discovery in Guess Where NYC

Hints for GWNYC: top left details of windows show how the large glass wall to the outside is made - middle right pedestrian walking shows this is a below walkway coffee shop - and she doesn't sing . .far as I know - also this is part of a relatively new building (remodeling of an older structure of course)

If Some is Good More is Better

If Some is Good More is Better

This spring, at Lansky's Old World Deli, I'd shot George earlier doing a milkshake in the back as I toured the establishment*. George was busy and acquiesced, tho not all that enthusiastically. We were attacking our dinner when I noticed he was motioning me to the counter with a big smile. I hadn't noticed that this was the signature piece of that particular eatery. Hard not to notice, and somewhat relevant these days.

* Yes, I like to see the whole place when I walk into a new restaurant, and this one didn't disappoint, with fun artifacts from its owner.

This picture was chosen for Utata's December 26th Front Page with a cool write-up about sandwich the Earl.
