Swimming Phlyctenactis

The bizarre Phlyctenactis tuberculosa (swimming anemone) found in a rock pool near Clydes Island, Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania. This anemone is an active hunter. It usually hides around base of seaweed during the day but climbs to the top of weed at night stalking it's food.
