The Seal Oceanarium exhibit is the largest naturally lit exhibit in the Aquarium.Most of the other exhibits rely on artificial lighting.The seals are the focal point of this exhibit,which is typical of the southern coastline of Australia.
Seals are marine animals, warm-blooded creaturescovered in fur.Their young are born alive and are suckled by the mother.They have a streamlined, torpedo-shaped body and their four limbs are modified into flippers, enabling them to glide effortlessly through the water.Their eyes have been adapted for clear vision underwater.
