How to enjoy a successful NaNoWriMo

This is my sixth NaNoWriMo. I'm keeping a log of the days on my blog this year.
Here's Day 3. Here's the link to the Nanowrimo site---though it's incredibly slow right now.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

hah. I understand. Distraction is EVERYWHERE during the month of November (or anytime you try to write.) Thus the paste and duct taping strategy. I know, I know...the internet is a MAJOR distraction too. So unplugging that is also a good idea. Use it to reward yourself when you reach a word count goal.
