NRCS Oregon Diversity Day, June 2011

The NRCS Oregon Civil Rights Advisory Committee organized and hosted a Diversity Day on June 8, 2011 at the NRCS state office in Portland. The event was to raise awareness with employees about the value of diversity and to better understand why diversity is important to the success of our agency and the government as a whole. The intent was to help enable NRCS employees to improve outreach and recruiting efforts and foster a more personal understanding of diversity with regard to all aspects NRCS day-to-day business, programs, and activities.
