This was a benefit I organized for the Pittston Miners, who were striking against Brinks, the mine owner. They were trying to raid the pension fund.
Rich Trumpka was the president of the UMW, the United Mine Workers Union. He stopped by to rock out for five minutes and ended up staying for the whole show.
