If you happen to live near Daiso I should let you know the molds there were only $1.50. If you don't live near a Daiso then I probably shouldn't let you know that.

I tried mine and was amazed by the fact they came out perfectly round - I thought I would have managed to get air bubbles in when putting it in the freezer. I also bought ice trays from Ikea that make sticks of ice: they really hurt your teeth when they swing round and hit you while you're taking a sip!

Laura - I bought one of those, I ended up using it as the base for a tofu press! I think I used it once to make ice to slide into water bottles but not much after that. I considered freezing lemon rind into it though, but if it's going to hit me in the face I fear it.

Have you ever had a problem fitting the ice balls into smaller glasses?

ex.libris - Embarrassingly at the time of this photo we only owned two pint glasses, one of which is pictured here. But I don't think these would fit into our current Ikea water glasses.
