this is a lot of bacon

    This is 7.5 pounds of bacon. I couldn't hold the package up with one hand to take the picture so I balanced it on top of all the other 7.5 pound packages of bacon.

      The brown sugar bacon was a Martha Stewart recipe, seen here (watch the video to see her mildly complain about the bacon prep not being in place, ah, I miss the old Martha).

      I should warn you - after making all that sugar bacon my oven still smokes every time I turn it on.

      Oh. My. Lord. My husband would weep with happiness if he saw this package.

      I made some of that brown sugar bacon one time when I had my cousin and her husband over for dinner. I made a bunch and it was absolutely devoured. My cousin was pregnant at the time, so I'm curious to see if her baby will show an interest.

      I saw the thumbnail and thought, "That is NOT a huge package of bacon is it?" and was delighted to see that it was!

      Now the question is, did you buy it? and if so, and if you survive to tell the tale, what will you make with it?

      May I suggest Bacon Mat BLTs?
