Whilst sorting out potential images for the upcoming event at the soon to be opening Newbiggin-by-the-Sea Maritime Centre, I discovered a set of images taken last year with the purpose of stitching them together for a panorama.

Numpty here forgot all about them !!

Having not been out with the camera for a while I made a last minute decision to head off to Cresswell yesterday evening.

After spending over an hour without taking a single shot I was on the verge of heading back home....when the lighting changed to give me this.

No work today and wide awake at 5am, so did what any normal person would do and get down to the beach as soon as possible to catch the sunrise.

Soon after this shot I was soaked by a huge wave.

Having two days annual leave has allowed me to get out on a non-weekend sunrise for the first time in months and how lucky was I?

Having dusted off my passport and updated my inoculations I thought it was a good time to venture South of the Wansbeck on a scouting mission.

I ended up at Old Hartley for the first time with the tide heading out. More visits will be in order !
