Suddreth of Raeford, N.C., wearing his U.S. Army Air Forces uniform, standing next to a small tree outside of a barracks building at an unidentified U.S. Army Air Forces training camp during World War II. Photograph believed taken while he was stationed somewhere in Texas for training. A uniform insignia for the rank of Staff Sergeant is seen on Suddreth’s uniform. Caption on back of the photograph reads: “Trees are very few here on the plains of Texas” [1940s].
