This is one of the first Shinedown songs I ever heard, and I was hooked. No matter that it was a cover (for years my husband thought they had written it), but I was taken by their heart, their sound, their love for music and for what they do. This song exemplifies them perfectly.
The other night when they played "Simple Man" it was truly the simplest of affairs: just Brent Smith on vocals and Zach Myers on guitar. Oh yes, and the entire audience singing along.
There is something about seeing your favorite band live that one just cannot put into words.

What a fabulous shot Malinda... and I can just imagine how blown away you would have been to see them live. Gosh lucky you!!! Wow!!! i know exactly what you mean too... Nothing like a live concert and especially when it's one of your all time faves!!! Magical! %-)

Your favourite band are supporting Alter Bridge in the UK! Just got really excited when I saw them both on the line up then I saw the date they are in my local arena - it's the day me and K fly out on our honeymoon....365 days they could choose from and they pick that date!
