Go Miniman Go And Say YEAH!

Go Miniman Go Contest entry for the 1990s category

The Love Parade is worlds biggest dance event. Although first celebrated in 1989, it had the time of it's life during the 1990s, converting techno and rave into mainstream music and peaking with one and a half million attendants in 1999.

Louder and more crowded than most concerts, the parade consists of sound trucks that feature open tops and powerful loudspeaker systems mounted to the side or rear – certainly loud enough to provide a suitable sound floor for a decent minifig anniversary party.

Attendants and dancers usually sport crazy hairstyles along with crazy costumes in various states of nakedness. To get an idea of it, just search flickr for "Loveparade" (kids, cover your eyes...)

There's some wildly imaginative parts usage for crazy hair (see notes) on this truck. The truck itself isn't bad either - I especially like your multifaceted windshield.

Oh you europeans and your techno

    Party!! YEAH!!

Excellent piece of work all around and great photography! I strongly advise you join my group LUGNuts, then enter this in the "Year In Review" build challenge. It'll fit in either the "Haulin' Ass", "Modified Machines", "Color Me Strange" or "So Crazy its brilliant" categories.

This could quickly become a fave amongst so many people.

    Azaghal: Thanks!

Phrawg: I'm not into it at all and despisingly hated it during the 90s. That said, it probably laid the tracks for some pretty neat electronica during the last ten years.

Lino: also Thanks. I was gonna do exactly that :-)

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called LUGNuts, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Hah Lino, that was fast. I planned to make some more shots just of the tractor, then obsequiously ask for permission to enter this as a strangely coloured Haulin' Ass...

Since everyone else has covered how awesome the other facets of this are, I'll just point out how much I love all your punk hairstyles. May have to steal some of them.

Go ahead Shadow. I'll add some more detailed pics tomorrow.

    Niceeee...!

BTW you should add a tag to indicate which era this is for (1990's?)

I was thinking it was some sort of 60's freak bus, like the Merry Pranksters and their acid tests. I guess the concept is the same, though.

This rocks! Wish I could be a minifig and join those on your truck!

Techno is good, but have ever heard techno metal? It's like if slipknot gang raped aphex twin and he had a child. That child would be crazzz E!
Oh and i agree with ^

  17. nolnet (55 months ago | reply)

    Thanks everyone, most appreciated!
Teikjoon, I think I mentioned the era in my description... twice. But to comfort you I added a tag ;-)

This is just made of pure awesome. If Lego was BBQ, this would be slow-cooked pulled pork of the best kind. Yummy.
