One of the great things about shooting vacant mills is there are many questions to be answered. As in case with this particular photo, I wondered what were they doing in this small confined space back when it was up and running. Upon entering the room, it contained a lot of unknown pieces from when it was cleared out but it certainly didn't stop me from getting the photo I was after.
My vision for this photo was two fold. First of all, I wanted to showcase the first door in the foreground which leads to the second door in the background where you see everything in between. However, the mystery is what is behind the second door. Secondly, converting the photo into black and white helps show the age of this building from the rust, concrete floors and the stone structure.
In the future, I will post the photo of what is behind the second door. Stay tuned!
