Carving his memento into a fence rail at the north Vista Point at the Golden Gate Bridge. I wonder if he left his mark at Yosemite, too. Willing to bet he did.

We took a night tour of the city. It went first to Twin Peaks, high above and looking out across the city to the bay. Then we went to Treasure Island, halfway across the Bay Bridge, where I took this shot. It was cold and windy in both places! People got back on the bus rather quickly!

Street Lamp with a MohawkTime out from all the pretty photos for a bit of fun. The signs and street lamps along Fisherman's Wharf are all covered with spikes. I'd guess it's to keep off the pigeons and gulls.

"The City of Paris Dry Goods Company (later City of Paris) was one of San Francisco's most important department stores from 1850 to 1976, located diagonally opposite Union Square. The store was demolished in 1980 after a lengthy preservation fight to build a new Neiman Marcus, although the store's original rotunda and glass dome were preserved and incorporated into the new design." (from Wikipedia) The clerks working at the perfume counter in the rotunda seemed to enjoy my photo session shooting straight up at the glass dome. They've probably seen it all many times before.
