Abandoned house at Hallsands
A close up shot of one of the abandoned buildings as requested.
Little remains of the original village, though there are two properties that survive intact on the rock platform. I'm not going to be uploading any other images from this trip. There's a redevelopment in progress of the buildings above the abandoned village - for some reason the developers feel a "New England" style luxury property is the best way to go. The South Hams really needs these sort of properties, especially as second homes - err doesn't it? Stealthy visits to the foreshore look less likely in the future. Geography teachers and students will be interested in the historical photos of the village before the disaster uploaded by fatmanandlittleboy: www.flickr.com/photos/7927371@N07/468586540/ www.flickr.com/photos/7927371@N07/468586528/ CommentsML Dollan Art & Photography says:Too bad about the development...this is a
