"What'll it be, Daddy?"
(See also: "The Usual, Mommy?")
This is reprinted in the book Mad Men:The Illustrated World.
I wish I could say this was thoroughly researched and every drink here was mentioned on the show, but they're not. About half of them have been in the show, the other ones are just gross and of the period (particularly the "Pink Lady").
Apologies to true mixologists-- all recipes were pulled from the internet and may not be "the best" or "most historical" recipes.
Holy cow! This one got 6000+ views in one day! It's beaten Joan and the Xerox for most popular by two grand!

When this breaks 20,000 views I'll draw a sequel with new cocktails.
(I had said 15,000 but that happened too fast)

On the Old Fashioned, it should say "jigger" not "jogger"
Dyna Moe 57 months ago | reply
I figured a jogger was a really big jigger. You can't trust anything you find on the internet.

What font are the drink titles?
Dyna Moe 57 months ago | reply
It's not a font. The lettering on the titles is hand drawn in Illustrator based on a vintage magazine headline.

Your cheat sheets (and illustrations in general) are absolutely fantastic. I hope it is okay with you, but I have them included in a blog post - with full credit and links, of course. fashionablepeople.wordpress.com/2009/07/09/the-new-dior-a...

I think it was a good choice to go with real usable cocktail recipes and not actually Sally Draper's recipes, although those would be fun to read. I think her Bloody Mary was 12 oz of vodka with a splash of tomato juice.
