Joan is my favorite character - her personality is just so "red" and you really capture her essence

kolginoff --

I'll admit to being a major fan and being hugely influenced by of the art of Shag when I was starting out and I still strongly admire his great color palates, sense of humor, and amazing precision of making oil paint vector-perfect, but it's always bothered me how all his 99% women have absolutely identical faces and bodies (his men fall into a handful of types... some with animal heads).

Right now I'm totally in love with (but don't come within one iota of the talent and skill of) period illustrators Aurelius Battaglia, early Alice & Martin Provensen, and J. P. Miller

And I love groups like Mid-Century Illustrated and Retro Kid for scanning and uploading so many samples of their (and other artists') works on Flickr.

Or I may have misinterpreted your question and you just might be asking if I have non-committal sexual encounters with the British.

Thank you so much for making these available. I don't know enough about art to know what this style is called, but I would decorate my whole house with it if I could!

Love This! There's always more room for Joan...and Don...and Peggy, and just about anything else you've done from this series! Maybe a Joan and Roger scene? (or maybe Joan and Don as they posed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly?

Love the illustrations. If you're still doing them, I'd like to put in a request. A picture of Joan and Sally Draper working at their tandem desks, discussing "big ones". I just thought it was a sweet watching Joan playing "mom" for the day.
