   Beautiful picture.

   I used to live with a Danish girl who used to do this to wasps. She'd catch them, freeze them until they were sluggish and then tie a length of thread around the narrow point between their body and abdomen. She's then tie the other end of the thread to a match and stake it into the ground...

   It was one hell of a strange summer...

   This pic has gone straight into my favourites.

   jen, i've heard of how freezing bees (or wasps) can make them sleepy/sluggish, but i've never heard of anyone actually doing it, as recreation. did she ever light the match? thanks for sharing your hell of a strange summer.
