My first C programming book

Funny, I don’t remember dating my books ordinarily. (I was 7.)

I did read the book at the time, but to tell the truth, the only C compiler I had at the time was Aztec C on a //e; it was sufficiently unfriendly that I didn't do much more than write a few short programs with it. It wasn’t until the following year when I got a Mac SE and started using LightspeedPascal that I seriously programmed in a higher-level language than BASIC.

CompuServe 3.0 betas

CompuServe 3.0 was the first unified Mac/Windows release and a slow, crashy nightmare of a product (think Mac Office 4.2, but about 10 times worse) , especially when compared with its predecessor, the elegant CompuServe Information Manager (CIM). It made me realize it was time to drop my CompuServe account.
