Never thought I would use the word ominous and mushroom at the same time. I can honestly say that I've never seen a mushroom with spines. What I like is the way the frame and the bokeh on the left seems to make an interesting and natural border. The crispness of and detail of the mushrooms is perfect.

i want SO BADLY to reach out and touch them. are they wet? are they sticky? do they smell? are they soft? prickly? i don't know that i've seen such a tactile nature shot. one of your best (and i say that out of extrapolation, as i haven't seen everything yet, but this is surely a standout.) and the blurred woods in the background are like dessert for an already filling shot. instant fav, fo sho.
