This looks like a highlight from the Roger and Me tour. Must have been around 1AM at this point and my Red Bull had long worn off. Ah, the memories......Stunning shot, Roger!

Nice work--how much enhancement in Photoshop, if I might ask? The blue tones are nice! Star filter?

    Thank you everyone.

@Micky - thank you for the welcome to the group and the blogging.

@Lyza - I'm just learning CS2 now, but in Picasa I sharpened, added a little brightness and cooled it a bit. I suppose the equivalent would be some minimal adjustments to the blue level, brightness, contrast and sharpen. No filter was used, just the aperture blade or iris effect.

I never tire of viewing your marvelous photography of NYC bridges...this one is another phenomenal shot!

I remember taking a similar shot (standing close to where you were) at sunset when I was up there earlier this year.

  23. Ed Karjala (82 months ago | reply)

Love it Roger. The drama of the lights makes it easy to miss the clarity and sharpness of the bridge cables and other details. So much to take in. I'll be here a little longer.

@Michaela (Kalabird) - Yes, it was with a tripod. I virtually always use a tripod in NYC, since most of my shooting is at night. I also need to keep an eye over my shoulder to watch for police doing their duty. They don't like this too much.

  31. Kalabird (82 months ago | reply)

Ah, interesting. I guess that makes sense that they might not like it. I really need to use my tripod more, it's just such a pain to lug around. I also never know how long to expose the image at night. I guess I just need to practice when I get to my next big city! Keep up these great night images.
