thank youI went to Staten Island twice to get this shot. After taking quite a number of images, this is the one I'm sticking with. The 'T' or 'Y' would be out of frame, or writing on top of one another or the 'N' really backwards. I'm sure the people down the beach thought I was a psycho. I know the writing is a little wacky, but this is kind of hard to do, especially while trying to take a decent bridge image at the same time

My first upload was September 11, 2005, exactly 10 months ago to the day (without getting too technical about it). If everything stays the same, it will take me 7 years and 6 months to catch up to where rebekka was a few months ago. ;~)) I won’t be able to adequately express to you how much you have enriched my experience here on flickr and how you have influenced the continuing development of my photography. I truly thank you and very much appreciate all your visits, your kind and supportive comments, your choice to favorite some of my images and for creating the space into which I can grow as a photographer. I am going to borrow something from Myla Kent and the way she presented some numbers for reference… ~ 100,000 > stream views ~ 13,000+ > images shot since August 2005 ~ 8,598 > hopefully meaningful and sometimes humorous comments left by me in your images ~ 5,001 > the number of times the NYC Bridges & Tunnels set has been viewed, largely due to a Linus Gelber mention in a www.utata.org/ thread that Flickr chose to include on the Explore page ~ 2,965 > images of yours that I have chosen as a favorite ~ 1,770 > number of images posted in my stream and virtually all are public (note that I have posted just 414 shots this year after my early deluges into flickr - I was counseled in December by creativity+ (Tim) regarding uploading and image choices, which has had a major impact in what has happened in my stream) ~ 6 > the number of combined hours I have slept the last two nights Truly - thank you all once again!!!
