Ths photograph is inspired by a cult movie
called "The night of the Hunter",
one of the greatest of all American films,
but it has never received the attention it
deserves and so this is the only movie of ths
director,Charles Laughton.
La foto è ispirata al film di
Laughton,"La morte corre sul
fiume",un film molto sottovalutato alla
sua uscita e ke fu invece rivalutato dalla
critica dei Cahiers du cinema,in particolare
da François Truffaut.
Purtroppo lo scarso successo di pubblico
indusse il regista ad abbandonare il mestiere
per tornare a fare l'attore,così questo è il
primo e unico film di Laughton.
Even those who haven't seen the movie have
heard about the knuckles of his two hands,
and how one has the letters H-A-T-E tattooed
on them, and the other the letters L-O-V-E.
Bruce Springsteen drew on those images in his
song "Cautious Man'':
``On his right hand Billy'd tattooed the
word ``love'' and on his left hand was the
word ``fear'' And in which hand he held his
fate was never clear''.
L'idea ke ispirò il film,a detta del
regista, era la seguente:
"Quando una volta andavo al cinema,
gli spettatori stavano ben seduti ai loro
posti e fissavano lo schermo, dritto davanti
a loro. Oggi constato che il più delle volte
hanno la testa piegata all'indietro, per
poter meglio ingoiare popcorn e dolcetti.
Vorrei fare in modo che riacquistassero la
posizione verticale".
Ora questo film compare tra i 10 migliori
della storia del cinema. E un critico l'ha
definito il più bel film americano di sempre.

J'allais beaucoup trop au cinema il y a une
dizaine d'années, plusieurs films par jour.Et
maintenant je n'y vais plus dutout .
la nuit du chasseur est vraiment l'un de
mes préférés, robert mitchum m'a bcp
impressionné.

oh la la il y a beaucoup de monde ici :-)
quel succes.
a propos de ken loachs je dois avouer que
je ne l'apprecie pas toujours,pour te
paraitre encore plus cinephile, j'ai aimé son
1er film , poor cow,tourné dans les années 60
et j'ai meme l'impression que c'etait en
N&B,tout le reste ne m'a jamais
passionné.
et pour te paraitre vraiment deconnectée du
monde du cinema, je t'avoue que je ne suis
meme pas au courant des dernieres sorties
J'ai arreté d'aller au cinemea depuis 5 ans
,ce qui correspond a la naissance de mon fils
qui né avec une maladie genetique avait
besoin de bcp de soin et d'attention et que
je ne pouvais laisser a personne.
maintenant ca va bien mieux mais j'habite
dans une petite ville et il n'y a que des
films tres commerciaux qui passent dans de
grands cinemas.Nous n'avons pas de quartier
latin ou de cinematheque ici,ou pas de prince
charles cinema comme a Londres
oui nous avons des plages et des palmiers
:-)
Je m'endormais rarement au cinema, mais je
me souviens d'un film de nanni moretti
pendant lequel j'ai dormi tres longtemps ,j'y
ai vraiment rien compris :-)

première fois ke je me suis endormi en voyant
un film a été kand j'ai vu "Caro
diario"de Nanni Moretti...ah pauvre
Nanni...c pas ta faute,mm si parfois tes
films sont vraiment trop lents!

a mon petit avis,nanni moretti est un grand
cineaste mais il est parfois trop lent et
trop bavard.
j'ai par contre bcp aimé Caro diario que
j'ai vu plusieurs fois,moretti sait etre
tendre et tres drole a la fois(pas tendre
cucu hein :-) )

Moi aussi j'm bien Moretti. Ce film là a
gagné aussi la Palme d'or à Cannes. La phrase
du film que je préfère (tristement vraie):
"les médecins savent parler mais ils ne
savent pas écouter"

Il fuoco sulla parola LOVE, come se tra le
due parole, qualla che possiamo leggere con
maggior sicurezza è questa...l'altra resta
sfuocata, indefinita, negata, in agguato...
chissà se davvero c'è una linea di
confine...io non credo... come mostri tu con
questa bella foto, è una distinzione che si
basa sulla sfuocatura... altrimenti non
sarebbe tutto così perennemente in bilico...
