best option to get Finck back.

So does this mean Finck is stepping back in
as a replacement or an addition to the
current crew? Either way, it'll be great to
have him back on stage!

Please let this be a april fools joke... I
don't understand how everyone wants NIN to
move backwards. I've enjoyed every album so
far, loving how the man, the band, and the
music is evolving and I want it to keep
progressing.
This feels like a step in the wrong
direction to me.

i dont get it.. why doesnt anyone care about
aaron north? he was amazing..
yeah i realize finck is(was) a great player
and embodied the spirit of nin back in the
day, but north brought so much energy.. im
just wondering why nobody seems to be saying
anything about him.. i thought he was great.
shrug.

Congrats on bringing in old friends! I look
forward to it! And the effect on the guitar
is sick! It looks illustrated while the rest
of the shot is realistic and moody, but that
guitar really steals the show. It has it's
own life!

I loved Finck. That being said... North
ground him up into little bits when it came
to actual guitar playing. Finck does a good
show, and plays with a lot of heart, but
North does a decent show, plays with a lot of
heart, AND plays perfectly every fucking
time. Like a machine. You see the guy
throwing the guitar all over the place up
there, but he's still hitting every note.
North is just a better guitarist.
Still, there's a special place in my heart
for Finck.

Don't know how Mohegan sun is going to work
for this show. The Casino Crowd can't be
disturbed, so early finishes and padded seats
aren't exactly condusive to the feeding
frenzy. And the Dance Nazis make sure any
attempt at undulation is met with an escort,
either back to the seat or out the door. I'll
catch you in Worcester!

Aaron Olaf is obviously Aaron North. If Aaron
North was a better guitarist, he would
probably get the pitch bends correct on at
least one of the songs he played live. He
also wouldn't have to hide behind a wah pedal
every time he played a solo. I do give him
kudos for his work on "The BIg
Comedown" though.

Good to see. I take since he is in your
studio this means another new album? A
throwback possibly to the days of old? Maybe
some Pretty Hate Machine era stuff?

are working on the follow up to the Downward
Spiral. Where The Twine Unwinds.

Finck will always be remain part of the
"classic" NIN line-up in my brain,
because he was there when I first got into
things (1994/95), but the With Teeth-era
line-up produced the most consistently
awesome shows, in my opinion. It seemed to me
like there wasn't a song from the catalog
that they couldn't tackle. I'm not sure how I
feel about this new configuration yet.
