Guardians of the grain.
"Kakashi" | Scarecrows surrounding the last of the unharvested rice.
I guess this is a special strain of rice, as all the surrounding fields have long since been harvested. Making this lone field a prime target for the birds, thus it is completely surrounded by hand made scarecrows.

Wish I had a longer focal length and or macro with me when I took a walk through our local Temple on Sunday. This was as close as I could focus the lens on this little critter. About 25cm away and this fella wasn't going anywhere. Enjoying his last few days of summer.
