aka Oliver (our 13yo Persian)
Took this of our sweet Olive in our privacy fenced in back yard this past weekend.
It is so very difficult to get decent photos of him with his eye open, and face pointed at the camera, this is a rare capture of Olive.
Found a lump on Oliver head behind his left ear on the side that which he had his eye removed. Took him to the vet's office and have since discovered it's a tumor. The good news is that it isn't deeply rooted so there is most likely benign. Oliver is sensitive to anesthesia, so I'm hoping everything will go well with his surgery for the removal on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The eve of Halloween, and a Happy Halloween/Samhain to everyone. I'm still combing through and post processing my photos from a wonderful visit last week to view Barkitecture & a Woof Walk with Izzy located at the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, in Akron, Ohio. Had a beautiful time, and it's a wonderful and gorgeous place to visit. Shall be posting photos of our visit sometime after Halloween. We also attended a wonderful concert last week, fabulous show, had a ton of fun. Ah, and finally had the opportunity to see Zombieland, great flick.
Carving pumpkins today (plan to post photos of the carving fun) and have a music concert that we plan to attend this evening. We also have plans for some Halloween fun for Saturday and Sunday evenings, the season for haunted houses and horror films. A favorite time of the year for me. ^_^

P.S. I'm rather behind on my Flickring, I'm slowing getting caught up with everyone's photostreams.
UPDATE 11-5-09 Ollie is looking good!
Oliver is doing great this evening, has a wonderful appetite and is doing his happy scratching on his turbo scratcher this evening, he's been quite perky as soon as he came home from the vet's office today (had to stay overnight from his surgery yesterday). His surgery wounds are gnarly (not as bad as I first anticipated, thank goodness) but, it certainly does *not* seem to phase him, or hinder him much. The Doc told me that he used 20% less of the anesthetic this time around and it certainly seemed to work so much better for Oliver since he's so sensitive. He stated that he woke right up for them and he was happy with the results. Now we just have to wait on the biopsy results for the tumor.
I will continue to post updates here just as I usually do and I post more frequent (sometimes via mobile) updates on my Facebook.

So how do you carve a Jack?

Nope, didn't carve any Jacks yet this year, we do so the 30th each year as a tradition. We still need to get our pumpkins this year, too.
These are actually the Jacks Charlie carved up with his sawzall last year. Something he enjoys doing, carving pumpkins, and he especially loves to use his power tools. ~_^
Never did post any of our Halloween shots from last year, just simply wasn't around to post them on Flickr, I suppose it's never too late. ~_^
In the mood for some comfort food, I have my reasons, friends, you may already know why from my previous post, it's been a rough time for us, a couple things I made today seen below (Experimental healthy Macaroni Bake and Vegan Maple Walnut Cookies).
We're hanging in there but, missing you Theodore.
Much Love,
Cat =^..^=

Last Bridge..

Inside a covered bridge found in Ashtabula, Ohio. Taken on a stop during our last summer ride on our motorcycles.
Not the greatest of shots but, I enjoyed the lines, and this is the original frame, no cropping, and satisfied with the natural light that flowed through the entire bridge.
Hope you all have a lovely week!
Much Love,

E l e m e n t of Water, the water Lily
© All Rights Reserved - No Usage Allowed in Any Form Without the Written Consent of Cat T. S. aka nightmares_n_fairy_tales
Not the best shot but, one of the few I do have of water lilies. Took this shot of these wild lilies during late summer last month at a local metro park, during a quick stop on one of my last motorcycle rides of the season.
Update..
Took a trip to the tattoo shop today after running errands, no new tattoos for me, this trip was for Charlie, lotus flora included, perhaps a chest piece but, not for me. Time for plans of a new piece, found a new local artist that we both feel confident to work with in the near future. Looks like I may finally get around to getting that full sleeve, perhaps after Charlie has his new work done it may be time to proceed with my ink.
Been busy times for me, I have been trying my best to at least keep updates on my Facebook. Trying my best to get caught up again, I know I keep saying this but, I seriously need to sit down and get caught up with so many of your wonderful photostreams. I really miss seeing them and keeping in touch with my Flickr friends.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Much Love,

This is what makes me smile..

This was taken early last weekend, on a sunny beautiful day, one of my outtakes with some character, decided to spruce it up and post it. Izzy is seen in mid yawn while Evan gives me the nose. *grins* That's my boy, always with that schnoz in your face, it's so hard to believe that Evan is 10 years old now and Izzy is 9, time flies when your having fun with the furry loves of your life.
My little furry & feathered gems can bring the smile back to my soul no matter what some lowly deceitful humans may attempt to inflict upon me. My animals are a constant reminder of the good in this world and they are a positive persevering presence of how precious life truly is. I always feel so blessed to have these precious gifts in my life.
Oliver Update:
Those asking about Oliver, he is fully healed and nearly back to his normal weight. He has a healthy appetite and is back to his Oliver self again. ^_^
It's a rainy, windy and cold Monday night here in NE Ohio, looking forward to watching Heroes tonight, any fellow Heroes fans? ^_^
