Rolf, the mandolin-playing terrier, was regularly featured on Art
Nudnick's Musical Menagerie. The Sunday afternoon variety programme
was a hit on WYNC in 1925. (This picture was sent to me by Andy Lanset
who helps look after the WNYC archives in New York and is part of an
April Fools' Day spoof - thanks Andy). The story is dodgy but the
photo is kosher!
