Ha. Sorry,...it's Western New York.
The desk was already painted when I got it ( a horrible mustard yellow color!)....so, I just used pink spray paint on it - no sanding, no priming. I made a template for the polka dots, traced them on withe pencil and painted them free hand with oil paint. I sealed the polka dots because I figured if I didn't they would get dirty!
