Against the Wind

This is my favorite image from the entire Rainier climb. This is on the Winthrop Saddle, we had just dropped our ropes and were about to head up the cinder code another 800 or so feet to the summit. The wind was howling, somewhere around 35-45 mph and the sun was just making its way above the morning clouds. Its a moment of pure serendipty much like my favorite from Olympus.
