Up the Inter

Our first day was a 6 mile hike from the White River campground, elevation 4400 ft, to Camp Schurman, elevation 9600 ft. The last 2.5 miles were 3000 vertical feet up the Inter Glacier. There are no crevasses to speak on the Inter Glacier (only one which was easily visible). So while we put on our harnesses we didn't rope up. From the top of the ridge we'd drop down onto the Emmons Glacier which did have crevasses and we'd make our way across to Camp Schurman.
