The Ultimate Sacrifice

The Ultimate Sacrifice by Nieblung.

Memorial Day Weekend 2008.

One of many American Flags that are located on the grounds in the Gettysburg National Cemetery.

Who says manual focusing is hard?

This was taken with my Nikon D40 and new AF 50mm f/1.8 D lens; best $110 that I've spent in a long time.

This photo is practically straight out of the camera and was shot in RAW. I only did two minor edits using Lightroom; both presets were from Matt Kloskowski's website. You can get the presets here. The total editing time was less than 5 minutes.

PS: This is one of two photos that are my favorites' from the Gettysburg Photowalk Set.

I need to get out and shoot a little more. I'm hitting the bottom-of-the-barrel on the Gettysburg Set.

Thanks!
