The Cottesmore Boxing Day Meet, Cutts Close, Oakham

A happy mistake on my part...

I had run in from the meet itself to this vantage point that I knew they would pass, dressed in all my snow gear and gloves, clutching two cameras and a folding stepladder. I got there, climbed my ladder and fired away and only realised later that the mode switch had moved from Manual to Aperture Priority during the rush and that the chosen aperture was nowhere near low enough for the fill-in flash sync speed at 1/250s, hence the burned out highlights.

Still quite effective though I think.
