Victory!!!

I spent Friday at Digi-Key up in Thief River Falls, MN, with two University of Minnesota, Morris, teams at the seventh annual Digi-Key Collegiate Computing Competition.

We've had one or more teams in the top three for several years in a row, but this was the first time one of our teams actually took the top spot, and this is them celebrating. To be honest, though, they're not actually celebrating that win (I don't have any pictures of that because I was up with them receiving the award). Here they're celebrating winning the opening ice breaker event, where teams had to build a bridge out of (uncooked) spaghetti and (very sticky) marshmallows. Theirs was over 50", and well over a foot longer than the closest competitor.

This is all indoors at a distance with a 200mm lens and 1600 ISO, so it's not a technical masterpiece :-). I think it captures the day pretty well, though.
