Orca spray

Orca spray by Unhindered by Talent.
He's heading out, and so are we! On our wildlife cruise in Alaska last summer we were fortunate to see several orcas fairly close up. (See, for example, "Orca!" which I posted while we were still in Alaska.) I caught this one as it steamed away from us towards the afternoon sun.

I may want to crop this when I have more time to think. You get it as is for now, though :-).

We leave tomorrow for nearly a year living in the UK! It'll be wonderful, assuming we survive all the getting ready to go. Probably only one more post before we leave (and that'll be a silly one), and then no comments or photos for a while. I'll be back, though.

I like the light sparkling all over the water and spray, on the curve of the rocks; the sense of ocean motion, the dark space above. If all of those great elements weren't there, I would crop.
Great shot btw!! (just my 2cents ; )

Thanks to you both!

wintercove: I seriously thought about cropping. I'm definitely not 100% convinced about the water on the right especially. Still, as you said, I like the sparkle and the rocks, so I posted it as is.
