Nicky Graham's photostream  

I was taking some pictures at Blackford Pond today. Just as I was about to take a shot of some steps leading up to Blackford Hill, a woman stepped into the frame and I managed to snap her before she began her descent. There's a lot of negative space here but I've left it in rather than cropping it out (I prefer the smallness of the figure!).

This is Oscar, my cat : )

He was lost after a windy storm in December 2011 and found a kindly women (my mother) who looked after him whilst trying to find his owners. She wasn't able to find his owners and instead started to talk to family and friends to see if anyone could take him. I've wanted to have a cat for years but was always afraid to commit as I'm very allergic. We agreed I would 'foster' Oscar to see if he could settle with me and I could cope with him! One month later, 30 allergy tables, one air purfier, many anti-allergen wipes and lots of fun and games and we seem to be getting along just dandy : )

He doesn't seem too perturbed by my camera thankfully - I imagine this will be the first shot of many ; )

Quite pleased with this - it's more or less straight out of camera, just a little trim at the top to remove slivers of sunlight and a little contrast boost.
