      The bubbles in the clear glass don't really bother me. They make it look like you just dropped the red candies into the water and caught them on the way down. I think it adds a little bit of movement and action to a good still life image. Well don.

      If you like playing with comparison of the glucose and water (though not sure you would want to after the clean-up mess!), the glucose will have a much higher refractive index than water which could lead to interesting images. You can even mix different ratios of water/glucose to make a range of liquids with differing refractive indices which could lead to some really neat shots...

      Cheers Greg, thanks for the tip! Other than this shot, I had not really thought about doing anything else with the glucose. I'll have a play with mixing the glucose and water and see what effects I can get.
