Week four theme: Shadow. I had a few ideas for this one but none really came off how I envisaged so I went to town walked around in the winter sunshine for a few hours and took a shed load of snaps. I then picked the best of a bad bunch - toyed with in photoshop - added vignette and turned black and white.... hey presto. A little bit less ordinary.

Week three theme for the 52 week project was my passion. I think this photo certainly sums up mine - Reckless Times is my website, its all about music and photography, Ive been doing the site for a few months now and it takes up quite a bit of my spare time. The hand behind the iphone is Petra, another passion in my life, a massive help in some of my photos.

Part of the reason I decided to do the 35 strangers project is because of the amount of visitors my home town (Oxford) tends to get... I made that mistake with these two. I wrongly assumed they were toursits, turns out they are studying at the University.

They were accomadating subjects, and yes I did choose them because of the ladies hat looking like it could be her hair..

Im not going to say to much about this shot - It was taken for the Photo Technique group's challenge for theme Documentation - and what better place to take a photo of than the home of so many documents - The Bodlien Libary.

If you didnt know the Bodlien Library is one of the oldest libraries in europe and the research library for Oxford University - second only in size to the British Library.

The reason this board is up is because the Library is outgrowing itself and many of the books are being moved to a newer and roomier store in Swindon. (of all places!)

This is Yannis - He's a stranger (sort of). Number two of my 35 strangers at 35mm project. He's best viewed on Black.

Number two in my 35 strangers at 35mm project. I was somewhat buoyed by my first stranger photo and walking back to my car with a spring in my step I caught the eye of this gentleman... It might have been because I did a double take, but I thought 'what the hell'... and I asked him. He was accommodating and happy to pose, when he asked why I had chosen him (as opposed to his two friends) I told him he had a familiar looking face.. "are you in a band?" I asked - "I might be" was the reply. Which band I asked... Foals was the reply.
