Communicating using computers has been a part of my working life since 1987. CompuServe, AOL, early internet, AppleLink, eWorld, MSN, BBSes, Fidonet - you name it, I've used it.

Being alive during the time of the rise of the internet, and being a small part of the growth of the internet, is as important as those that lived in Italy through the Renaissance. The Macchiavellis, Michelangelos, Da Vincis and the de Medicis all have modern internet equivalents.

I am married, have one geek son. I am a homebody that likes to travel. I am a shy, introvert that likes to communicate via the internet. I've seen the world and like living in Sydney-Australia. I grew up on a farm and now prefer to live in a small place in the inner city. I am a comedian, love making people laugh but am largely highly self-critical and sad inside.
Having been “the young one” all my life, now the older-wiser and more experienced one is alien. My foibles and fears are in my head, alone and tired.

So, I am on the internet. Watching and participating and helping all those I can. I now have a job where I work on the web.

My geek DNA lives on. There are digital trails everywhere. The world is small, and there is infinite darkness ahead. Live for now.
