Having spent a couple of days around Hobart on our holiday to Tasmania we set out for Port Arthur and its' famous (or some may say infamous) Historic Site. Our lodging for the evening booked in the "Salem Bay Beach House" a terrific little cabin right out in the bush overlooking the bay on the north west coast of the Tasman Peninsula.
The weather had been fairly ordinary, earlier in the day we experienced an almost total whiteout at the top of Mt Wellington with a few inches of snow on the ground!
As the sun was setting and the rain clouds skidded away I was keen to get my camera out, the first chance I'd had to use my tripod and capture something hopefully a bit more than holiday snaps.
The squalls coming in off the ocean were moving quickly and I only managed a couple of images before the rain returned but it was so great to be out in that clean Tassie air, watching quietly as the storm made its' way across the bay.
