Rayleigh, Essex

___________

My brother is in the process of putting out an E.P and needed a shot for the front page of the CD booklet.

We set out a couple of Saturdays ago during some unpredictable weather and were very lucky to find a short break between downpours to capture this shot at a location I spotted only a mile or two from home.

Rayleigh, Essex

___________

On the way home from a rather disappointing sunset at Hadleigh Castle, I decided to set up in the back seat for some in-car light trails.

Another shot from last Saturday, this one is looking down the 311 steps of the Monument.

The Gherkin

The Gherkin

30 St. Mary Axe, London.

___________

Headed up into London yesterday with my mate Kev and decided to spend a couple of hours around the square mile to get a few shots. I had never photographed The Gherkin before and I was happy with this perspective from underneath.

The whole day was glorious sunshine but unfortunately not a single cloud to add a bit of interest to a blanket of blue sky :(

30 St Mary Axe, the Swiss Re Building (colloquially referred to as the Gherkin or the Cucumber Building), is a skyscraper in London's main financial district, the City of London, completed in December 2003 and opened at the end of May 2004.

With 40 floors, the tower is 180 metres (591 ft) tall, and stands on the former site of the Baltic Exchange building, which was severely damaged on 10 April 1992 by the explosion of a bomb placed by the Provisional IRA

Scream If You Wanna Go Faster!

Scream If You Wanna Go Faster!

Adventure Island, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

___________

I thought I'd make the most of the glorious weather yesterday and headed down to sunny Southend-on-Sea. I had no particular agenda, just thought it seemed wrong not to venture out and enjoy the heatwave!

Unfortunately, I wasn't the only person with this idea and consequently sat in extremely slow moving traffic for over an hour!

I eventually arrived at my destination and proceeded to wander around aimlessly... I eventually decided to shoot the "Rage" rollercoaster in Adventure Island, and ideally the title I chose was not only relevant to the subject matter but also my frustrating morning stuck in traffic! :)
