A damselfly and her shadow
Calopteryx maculata, or the Ebony jewelwing damselfly. Also, thanks to trying to figure out what bug this is, I now finally know the difference between dragonflies and damselflies.

Great shot! I love the shadow. It's almost like she's looking in a mirror. I never heard of damselflies before, but I've certainly seen them. If I didn't call them Dragonflies, I called them Sewing Needles. Now, however, I will call them Damsleflies!

I always called them sewing needles as well. Nice catch. Where are you finding these bugs that sit still and pose for you?
