Shady side of the lake is still frozen to the shore. At least this is shallow enough that they could walk to shore if they had to. The guys who go well out into Superior for Brown trout usually pull a boat behind their snowmobiles "just in case".

Got it. I was only on the isthmus side, and it definitely wasn't frozen solid over there. :)
