Brightening

Field and sky, Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County.

A cold front brought high winds and rapidly moving clouds, creating ever-changing light-and-shadow patterns across the field. (Other views here and here.) The high winds made using a tripod impossible.

and one more thing, why don't you sell your field/cloud things to the Microsoft? if they had smth like that as a default wallpaper for XP I would never change it!

The composition of this is superb, the way the diagonal lines formed by the ranks of clouds mimic the diagonal lines in the fields. Those shadows cast by the clouds really make this one special. Oh, thanks for the loan of the cumulus.
