Start of day 4

I was a bit confused why the trench had got wider, so I asked this morning, and it was the result of my patio misbehaving and collapsing in on itself a bit. So this evening I had stern words with the patio and it's promised not to do it again.

Big 'ole hole

Well...I suppose it's a fairly modest sized hole really. It will most likely get a bit bigger tomorrow. They're more or less half-way in digging out for foundations, although you can't really tell from this angle.

Rotting door frame

Another example of why I won't miss this patio door, and why I get paranoid about my patio door falling in when it's windy. The frame is rotting quite badly.
