The Thanksgiving Experience is a “drop in”
event, open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Nov. 21

The stations will focus on the four tenets
of a world-wide movement called Advent
Conspiracy (see below) – Worship Fully, Spend

visitors real-world, practical and executable

during this holiday season.

combinations to for spending less, yet giving

member will be available for one-on-one
prayer as needed.

to spend some time reading about Advent
Conspiracy, or part of a message on serving
by Martin Luther King, Jr. The younger

to physically experience how those in third
world countries – even small children -- walk
long distances to bring water back to their
home.
•Forgiven, a Place to Let Go – offering
small pieces of wood upon which visitors can
write something for which they need to be
forgiven or need to let go. Then they can
drop the wood into the fire and watch it burn
away.
•With Healing in His Wings – offering a
place to recall the story where Jesus healed
the woman who touched His garment and a
chance to ask God for healing of a medical
issue, relationship, addiction or some other
affliction.
•Communion Experience – offering a 4-station
experience where visitors can delve a little
deeper into what communion really is.
•Worship Fully – offering an opportunity to
follow the example of the Wise men and leave
a gift of personal commitment at the manger.
•Appreciation – offering the chance to write
letters to those who serve our communities
everyday: police officers and fire fighters.
About Advent Conspiracy
Advent Conspiracy is a movement that
encourages people to return to the holistic
worship of Jesus during Christmas by pushing
back on over-consumerism, giving more
relationally, and supporting those who really
need help. It started four years ago right
here in St. Louis and is now a worldwide
movement that has raised millions of dollars
for charity by thousands of churches and
business leaders in more than 17 countries.
About the Art Exhibit
The All Things Grateful art exhibit includes
art from artists around the region, as well
as art from prisoners in the federal
corrections system. It is an outreach effort
to empower and encourage artists who are
currently incarcerated to explore ways they
can live productively post-incarceration.
About The Crossing
The Crossing (also known as Windsor Crossing
Community Church) is a fast-growing community
of Christ followers known for calling those
form an unlikely mix of spiritual backgrounds
to consider the way of Jesus. By using
unconventional teaching methods and various
art mediums and technology, The Crossing (now
with campuses in Chesterfield and Fenton)
creates experiences rooted in scripture that
are both culturally relevant and deeply
personal. The Crossing is constantly mining
new ways that encourage people to explore,
experience and express who God is and how His
teaching can foster real change in people’s
lives.
